Three-phase grid-tied solar inverter

Tutorial n°5

This presents a control implementation for a three-phase grid-tied solar inverter using Simulink and the Boombox. Similar to Tutorial #3, it implements a conventional DQ current control, as well as cascaded voltage control on the DC bus. The employed control algorithms are identical to those presented in the more recent example central PV inverter, which targets the latest converter control hardware. The tutorial shows:

  • Use of the BoomBox Simulink blockset
  • Automated generation of code
  • Comparison of simulation and HIL results
