Other optional files may also be present on the SD card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the B-Box shows &#8220;<code>B-Box 3.0 Booting...<\/code>&#8221; but never actually boots, chances are that the SD card content has been corrupted. This can happen when the B-Box is turned off while a firmware upgrade occurs or if the SD card is defective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This page explains how to restore the content of the SD card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-procedure-to-restore-the-sd-card\">Procedure to restore the SD card<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-simple-alerts-for-gutenberg-alert-boxes sab-alert sab-alert-warning\" role=\"alert\">To avoid causing any damage, we highly recommend wearing an anti-static wrist strap while manipulating electronic boards.<br><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Remove the B-Box cover (11 screws)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"448\" src=\"https:\/\/imperix.com\/doc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-8-1024x448.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12592\" srcset=\"https:\/\/imperix.com\/doc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-8-1024x448.png 1024w, https:\/\/imperix.com\/doc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-8-300x131.png 300w, https:\/\/imperix.com\/doc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-8-768x336.png 768w, https:\/\/imperix.com\/doc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-8-1536x672.png 1536w, https:\/\/imperix.com\/doc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-8-2048x895.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Locate the SD card<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The image below shows where the&nbsp;SD&nbsp;card&nbsp;is situated. It contains the ACG and CPP SDK licenses.<br><br>If not, please request a new license file from the imperix support team.<\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"414\" height=\"160\" src=\"https:\/\/imperix.com\/doc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-13.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12597\" srcset=\"https:\/\/imperix.com\/doc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-13.png 414w, https:\/\/imperix.com\/doc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-13-300x116.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 414px) 100vw, 414px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Format the SD card using the FAT32 file system<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"253\" height=\"458\" src=\"https:\/\/imperix.com\/doc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-14.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12598\" srcset=\"https:\/\/imperix.com\/doc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-14.png 253w, https:\/\/imperix.com\/doc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-14-166x300.png 166w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 253px) 100vw, 253px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Replace the SD card files<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If not done already, <a href=\"https:\/\/imperix.com\/downloads\/\">download<\/a> and install imperix ACG SDK or CPP SDK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Locate and unzip the file <code>BB3_firmware_x.x.x.zip<\/code>. It is situated in <code>C:\/imperix\/BB3_ACG_SDK\/cockpit<\/code> if you are using an SDK version 3.7 or higher. Else, you&#8217;ll find it  in <code>C:\/imperix\/BB3_ACG_SDK\/<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"616\" height=\"429\" src=\"https:\/\/imperix.com\/doc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-15.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12599\" srcset=\"https:\/\/imperix.com\/doc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-15.png 616w, https:\/\/imperix.com\/doc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-15-300x209.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 616px) 100vw, 616px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This zip file contains the files <code>bitstream.bit.bin<\/code> and <code>linux.bin<\/code>. Copy these files at the root of the SD card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have a backup of your license, also copy it back to the SD card. If not, you can ask for a new license from imperix and load it to your device later using Cockpit or BB Control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The file <code>boot.bin<\/code> that is sometimes present on some SD cards is not required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"424\" height=\"149\" src=\"https:\/\/imperix.com\/doc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-16.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/imperix.com\/doc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-16.png 424w, https:\/\/imperix.com\/doc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-16-300x105.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 424px) 100vw, 424px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Re-plug the SD card in the B-Board and re-assemble the B-Box<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-simple-alerts-for-gutenberg-alert-boxes sab-alert sab-alert-warning\" role=\"alert\">Make sure to safely eject the SD card from your computer to avoid re-corrupting the files!<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Plug back the SD card in the B-Board and re-assemble the B-Box. Make sure the B-Board is firmly connected to the motherboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Power up the B-Box<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It should now properly boot!
