The next generation of control power is here with the official release of the B-Box 4. This new state-of-the-art controller is now available alongside a new lineup of high-bandwidth sensors, and the new PEB-800-40 SiC Power Module.

  • Introduction of the B-Box 4, featuring a high-performance 1.5 GHz 4-core ARM CPU and a 504 K UltraScale+ FPGA.
  • Now, 20 Msps oversampling allows revealing dynamics faster than the control rate.
  • New high-bandwidth sensors have been launched, featuring automatic identification and calibration for a true plug-and-play experience.
  • Release of the PEB-800-40 SiC Power Module, featuring 800V/40A ratings and smart dynamic protections to supersede the PEB8038 and PEB8024.

  • Implemented automatic identification so sensors are instantly recognized by the B-Box 4 controller.

PEB-800-40 SiC Power Module

  • Consolidated high-current and fast-switching capabilities into a single half-bridge module (replaces PEB8038 and PEB8024).

  • Achieved 200 kHz hard switching using advanced Silicon Carbide (SiC) technology.

  • Implemented I2t overcurrent protection, allowing for short-term transients of 200% nominal rating (up to 500 ms).

  • Integrated smart protection logic that dynamically enforces the Safe Operating Area (SOA) based on the DC voltage, switching frequency and duty cycle.

  • Enhanced isolation supporting grounded DC terminals or stacking in applications operating up to 1.6 kVDC.

Compatibility & Ecosystem Integration

  • Full backward compatibility of the B-Box 4 with Generation 3 hardware via the RealSync protocol.
  • Shared development environment with Generation 3 controllers ensures a smooth and rapid upgrade path from B-Box RCP 3.0.
