The Imperix software 2026.1 release is now live! This update unlocks the full hardware potential of the B-Box 4 while bringing advanced visualization and communication tools to the entire controller lineup. The software is available for download at imperix.com/downloads.
The most important changes and updates are as follows:
- Full activation of B-Box 4 capabilities, including ADC and PWM oversampling, high-resolution PWM and sensor auto-identification.
- Introduction of the XY Plot module in Cockpit for advanced control performance and efficiency analysis.
- Extended CAN frames support for all Imperix controller types (including the -FD variant on the B-Box 4).
B-Box 4 Advanced Visualization & Control
- Cockpit can now be used as a powerful oscilloscope, enabling the display of signals over heir full bandwidth, along with PWM signals.
- Integrated front panel view within Cockpit, allowing for remote configuration of the B-Box 4.
- Enabled sensor auto-identification to streamline setup of sensors with the B-Box 4.
- High-resolution 250ps PWM to leverage the B-Box 4’s capabilities.
Cockpit XY Plot Module
- Added variable-vs-variable plotting to facilitate the analysis of interdependent variables.
- Simplified rotating frame control performance analysis by visualizing control performance in the XY Plot module.
- Enhanced MPPT efficiency tracking facilitated thanks to the XY Plot module.
Extended Protocols & Connectivity
- Implemented extended CAN frame support across all Imperix controller types.
- Motor sensor interfaces for SSI, BiSS-C, and EnDat 2.2 can be used on the B-Box 4.
- Increased master-slave networking performance in master-slave configurations.
