PEB8024 power modules contain two power semiconductors (Silicon Carbide MOSFETs) as well as the corresponding gate drive and measurement circuits.

They allow engineers to rapidly implement downscaled power converter prototypes in order to validate the corresponding control techniques.

PEB SiC power modules are commonly used in laboratory teaching or research applications.

Thanks to state-of-the-art Silicon Carbide MOSFETs, the PEB SiC power modules enable faster switching frequencies than our previous phase-leg modules, while guaranteeing lower losses.

These modules allow building power converters with superior harmonic performance, more compact passives, and thus increased power density.

In addition, the embedded current sensor features a high measurement bandwidth, allowing to precisely sense the output currents, enabling the validation of fast closed-loop control techniques.

Reduced switching losses

Silicon Carbide MOSFETS offer up to 10x lower switching losses when compared to Silicon, even with fast IGBTs such as on the previous PEB8032 modules.

The PEB SiC half-bridge power modules are truly ready-to-use building blocks, featuring

Multiple integration options

Imperix power electronic building blocks are best assembled within rack-mountable frames or enclosures. This guarantees the highest flexibility, thanks to the modular nature of the power converter modules.

Flexible rack-mountable chassis (3U)

For those who appreciate the corresponding ease, imperix can provide pre-assembled chassis with power supplies and various other features. This way, development modules remain easily accessible and can be easily put in (or taken out) of the chassis, hence facilitating topology alterations.

Fully-integrated enclosure (4U)

Imperix power modules can also be placed within enclosures that guarantees that no dangerous voltage can ever be reached, except using 4mm laboratory safety plugs. In 4U enclosures, imperix implements the same sideboard controller as for the 3U chassis, which here also comes with an LCD display.
