The Evaluation kit allows to quickly assess the tremendous capabilities of the B-Board PRO, right from the top of the desktop.

The Evaluation kit enables development engineers to power up the B-Board PRO and get the first signals out of it within few minutes. It notably contains an easy-to-use carrier board that gives instant access to most analog and digital signals, normally located on the bottom of the B-Board PRO.

The kit also contains documentation and getting-started examples as to best support a rapid evaluation of the hardware and software capabilities, featuring the very same performance as the larger B-Box RCP system.

The new hardware revision embeds the latest processing devices, including a dual-core ARM processor and Kintex-grade FPGA. Together with an ultra-light and specialized operating system, this guarantees state-of-the-art performance for all closed-loop control applications. Running a converter control algorithm in the hundreds of kHz range becomes no longer a challenge!
The B-Box also distinguishes by a scalable design up to 64 boxes and many more features.

Imperix is proud to announce the release of its newest power module, the PEB8024 SiC half bridge building block. Featuring 1200V Silicon Carbide MOSFET semiconductors, this module offers a significant performance increase over its predecessor, the PEB 8032 variant.

The use of Silicon Carbide power switches gives access to performance so far inaccessible with traditional Silicon devices. Indeed, SiC MOSFETs allow much faster switching frequencies, while guaranteeing lower losses. This enables building converters with superior harmonic performance, better efficiency, improved power density or all of them at the same time!

Imperix and OPAL-RT TECHNOLOGIES have recently signed a strategic alliance that sets ground for co-investments in complementary products and solutions. This collaboration allows to accelerate product development and join product lines in order to respond to the increasing need for power electronic experimental testbed solutions. Marketing will also be facilitated, notably for microgrid applications, for which both companies are currently facing an increasing demand.

The first joint product is the OP1300, a test bench dedicated to the combined hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and experimental validation of power converter control techniques. This test bench enables engineers to go beyond simulation and obtain world-class experimental results in the blink of an eye.

Imperix is proud to announce the signature of a key strategic partnership with OPAL-RT Technologies Inc. Based in Montreal (Canada), the company is a global leader in real-time simulation and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing for electrical systems.

As a first step in their collaboration, the two companies will launch a new product bundle, designed to foster innovation in power electronics. Combining a state-of-the-art HIL simulator from OPAL-RT with Imperix’s Boombox and power hardware, this bundle will allow for quick and simple experimentation of power converter control techniques. Indeed, thanks to the combined use of both HIL and low-voltage prototyping in a single test bench, R&D engineers can accelerate their development cycle and obtain a very high degree of realism.

Imperix will also benefit from the long-established sales network of OPAL-RT, notably in North- and South-Americas. Reciprocally, OPAL-RT will be able to count on imperix’s solutions and expertise in power electronics to further extend its activities beyond simulation.
