Release of the 2026.1 software

The Imperix software 2026.1 release is now out! This update unlocks the full hardware potential of the B-Box 4 and introduces advanced visualization and communication tools across our entire controller lineup.
The most important changes and updates are as follows:
- Full activation of B-Box 4 capabilities, including ADC and PWM oversampling, high-resolution PWM, and sensor auto-identification.
- Introduction of the XY Plot module in Cockpit for advanced control performance and efficiency analysis.
- Extended CAN frames support for all Imperix controller types (including the -FD variant on the B-Box 4).
New features enabled by B-Box 4 capabilities
Oversampling for ADC and PWM

With the B-Box 4, Cockpit is now a powerful oscilloscope showing signals over their full bandwidth. Additionally, the actual sampling points seen by the CPU are clearly highlighted. This greatly simplifies working with medium-frequency converters as the exact waveform can be observed, or simply troubleshooting any measurement-related concerns.
More information on the possibilities offered by oversampling can be found on the Cockpit page as well as specifically to its scope module.
Remote front panel view

Cockpit now offers a remote view of the B-Box 4’s front panel. This enables users to fully configure their device remotely, including the safety limits.
The PEB-800-40 and the newest sensors can also be automatically recognized, allowing the B-Box 4 to automatically detect any possible misconfiguration.
Cockpit XY Plot module

Variables can now be plotted as functions of one another in XY plots. This notably facilitates the analysis of control performance in rotating frames, or that of the Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) efficiency. In many cases, this produces very elegant figures too !
Extended Protocols and Connectivity

Support for extended CAN frames is now available for all controller types. The B-Box 4 even support the flexible data rate (aka -FD) protocol variant.
Specically for the B-Box 4, software support is now also available for sensor interfaces using SSI, BiSS-C, and EnDat 2.2, such as with digital speed/position encoders.
